Microsoft has released an update for its iPhone version of Skype. The latest version of Skype for iPhone is 5.9 and brings several new features to the app including the user interface.
The latest update allows the users to start video calling and voice calling by adding the short cuts to the chat picker window. it also comes with contact suggestion to the dial pad when you typing the number, you would get the recommendations from your address book.

(To open the chat picker, tap on the message icon on the bottom navigation bar when in the recent, favorites or people view.)
